Smarty and SPS 62/14 = Reoccuring Codes

You are pointing fingers in the wrong direction here, call your turbo guru. If you sell the smarty you will be stuck in limp mode and not be able to clear it.



There are other solutions to the P0299 code , do some research

I will agree with you Bob, the Smarty is not causing the code. It is the Turbo, but there are not any other solutions that I could find. That is why my Stock Turbo is back on for now.

What about deleting/removing the P0299 code in software from the code list that causes limp mode? I wouldn't mind getting a code and not going into LIMP mode...



Can you give some examples of the "other solutions" as I have followed a few threads and not found a "fix-all" for it.

ITS NOT THE WASEGATE ACTUATOR CAUSING THIS!! Its caused by lower cruising boost #'s via a larger turbo, the ECM thinks theres a boost leak and cuts back power (HINT, its more in the MAP sensor than the WG actuator). My 04. 5 does this ONLY when I am pulling a trailer, sometimes a bunch and sometimes it wont do it.

MATTYMAC IS CORRECT MINE DOES THE SAME THING , SUCKS WHEN YOU DON;T HAVE SOMETHING TO ERACE THE CODE - MOST OF THE TIME WITHIN IN 15 MINUTES AND RECYCLING THE KEY I CAN GET IT TO GO AWAY THAN I CAN CLEAR IT OUT WITH MY CHEAP SCANNER FROM AUTOZONE

I put a HTT 62/13 SS charger on a few weeks back and have had the code limp me 3 times now! What a pain, good thing the smarty can clear it out on the side of the road.

I had the same combo on my 05 and 06. The same combo set codes on the 06 and not the 05. .
