Smarty beta 4.4?

I have smarty s-04 that I bought used it has the beta 4. 4 software in it and was wandering if any one could tell me more about the beta 4. 4. I have only installed level one which is I believe 30hp and added timing but level one seem way to aggressive. I have a 2004. 5 and would like to let a friend try the smarty on his 07 5. 9 will the s-04 work on the 07 or do I need to update to the s-06 (if that is even possible)

A while back the 4. 4 was dynoed on SW 1 as 155-175 HP.

No, the SO-4 won't work on an '07 or anything above an '05. :{

No, you can't upgrade (I asked). You have to buy the SO-6 and sell your SO-4. #@$%!

Would there be any benefit to go with the s-06 than the s-04 any one know what the difference is between the two

I believe the S-04 is no longer available (it has been replaced by the S-06). With the S-06 you get to choose which year range of software you want (2003 to about 2005, or 2004 to 2007).

With the beta 4. 4 there is little difference between sw#1 / sw#9, you have an 04. 5, seems I remember the SO-6 allowed for your electronic wastegate?



The beta 4. 4 will be the same, in a SO-4 or SO-6, if you change it(download new software), you cannot go back!



I would keep the SO-4, if you obtained it for a reasonable price, you will gain nothing, I am aware of, by changing to a SO-6 Smarty.

I have the new and refind beta 4. X for beta testing and yes it is available for both the s04 and s06 smartys (no difference except) the so4 wont work on the can 06/07 trucks



The new software is very smoke free, low egt's and should yield much improved fuel economy.

Thanks for the file Bob. I will get is all down loaded and installed tonight and take it on about a 200 mile run tomorrow. Are the power levels staggard or are they still pretty high on the lower stages like the 4. 4?

the levels should be all close to the original smarty 40 hp and up

Are they same software version as the previous beta's on 06+? e. g. backward compatible with original 4. 4? Sent an email, can i please get a copy.

Yeah the 4. x sounds like just the ticketOo. . I like the 4. 4 but I would prefer to have a lower Horse power setting for a tow safe and better fuel economy…… thanks for the update Bob
