Thanks

I have upgraded to 306D302B I think. I have not upgraded to the 307 version yet. I really want some kind of documentation of the changes or fixes or what to expect from each new version.

So far the version I am running is working well for me. It looks like if I upgrade to latest and want to go back that may cause an issue. What if I don't have the same performance and want to go back??

Also I see new load programs at least later dates. Is it necessary to upgrade the load program also??

I am running 3. 06B 5. 02B on the Smarty and have no problems with my TST stack. However, I do have the upgraded TST and have turned the timing to off. There is no rattle or popping noises anymore Oo.

JVolpe,

with the "loader" program you mean the USB software? The one that connects the PC to Smarty? If so, you don't need it but we have done a few little "cosmetics" to it. The displayed remaining update time is more precise now.

That's all.

As to version 3. 06 VS 3. 07. The performance softwares are unchanged. Smarty's firmware has a couple of new security features build into it in order to provide further protection to the ECM against eventually corrupted code.

Helps?

Ok then I will upgrade to the latest.

Thanks

ASchwartz,

I think you're talking about the "beta" software several people have been using for te past month or so. Looks like a OK... . That software is not yet released to the general public but is availabel for download upon request. If you want to give it a try, let me know... .

Is the Mild program more aggressive than the Moderate program? The way the programs are listed on the website with stock TQM at the top suggests otherwise so I just wanted to confirm.

ASchwartz,

Yes that is the beta with new timing to avoid the timing rattle.

Works for you?

JStieger,

Stock Version (one) = Stock TM

Mild Version (two) = Mild TM

Moderate Version ( Three ) = "Moderate" TM

Where Moderate is more aggressive than mild.

is that the setting i ran? also when i get my smarty what will be loaded in it?

is it the same USB cord for the printer that works in the smarty?

Robert,

I was running the moderate with the newest updates that day. The Smarty will come loaded with the Mild Torque Managment program. If you want the moderate program, you will have to do an update to it. It is as easy as the bullydog one you have done, but remember you have to uninstall the bullydog USB driver you have on your computer first to get the Smarty USB driver to work. For some reason the drivers interfere with each other.

Yes the beta version works nicely. I still got a bit of timing rattle so I turned the TST timing off and I run the odd SW#'s on the Smarty. I no longer have any popping or surging.

If you were in my shoes... ( hopefully new ones, you knwo the smell thing... :-laf )

Would you reduce the timing further?

For me the reduction of timing is not necessary, I have the updated PMCR from TST that I can adjust the timing. I did notice that the rattle came on at 6* of timing advance on the PMCR when the Smarty was on even SW#'s.
