Smarty downloads

Ok today I tried to download a stock injector/aftermarket turbo upgrade for my smarty-just to see what it does. I found out real quick that I have no idea what I need to download and in what order. I did a search here and on another site and found a post that said I had to download 7-zip file which I did, and I had to unzip this and unzip that... I have no idea what that means. So can anybody tell me how to go about this in plain english?? thanks

Basically, the 7-zip program is to unzip the file that you download. The file is so large that if it wasn't zipped it would takes hours to download.

So, you download the SW you want from MADS.

1. Use the 7-zip program to extract the downloaded file into a folder or your desk top

2. Use should have already downloaded the USB driver onto your computer. This is the window that opens up to ask where the file is you want to load onto the Smarty

3. Push the " send " button in the USB driver window and it will ask where the file is you extracted from the download.

4. point to that file and the download will being.

This is a brief explanation. The instructions on the MADS site will explain it in detail.

One of the problems Im having is downloading the USB driver-I followed the directions from the mads website and when I type in C:/D2XX Drivers like it says to do it says that the file doesnt exist or cant be found; so I was wondering if I had to download something else to get that or what. I have downloaded CDM 2. 00. 00, SmartyUSB. exe and SmartyUSB. zip, now what? Im sorry but Im completely illiterate when it comes to this kind of stuff...

the 'xxx' is the software version, the last 3 numbers on the download before the '. '

if you just received your smarty the lastest software should already be installed.

Make sure that you have unzipped all downloaded files, do you see the little smarty box icon?? It has been awhile but I had a bear of a time getting everything to work, Marco bailed me out with a few pm's. Don't get too discoraged it WILL work, call Bob tommorrow and one way or the other he and/or Marco can walk you through the process. You may have the latest software but it would be good to be set up for future downloads. Sorry I can't help more.
