I am contemplating the different boxes and programmers on the market and like what I read about the Smarty. However, I currently have the BDTD w/Outlook and like the switch on the fly feature. I like to drive around on the low setting until someone want’s to play, then it's time to go Crazy Larry on them.

My questions are:

How do you change through the setting on the Smarty and how long does it take?

Does anyone have any experience switching from a shift on the fly format to the smarty, and how has that worked out?

Thanks everyone for the information you have shared…it has helped me in my journey for power.

smarty takes about five minutes or less to download. all you have to do is put smarty on the higher settings and let your foot control how you want to drive. plus you get to shoot soot on command too. lots of guys have a TST box stacked with smarty so they can upload smarty with no timing and adjust with the tst as they drive.

That's exactly what I do. However, I have the adjustable timing on the TST so I run the Smarty with timing programs. I came for a Triple Dog and liked the easy of changing programs, but when I changed to the Smarty I knew I would miss the on the fly adjustment, but I knew that Marco would constantly work to make the Smarty the best programer out and that's what made it worth the sacrifice. Granted if you are running on level 3, like I usually do, even turning up the TST is not going to give you maximum performance, but how many times do you need maximum performance while commuting? Now for drag racing or sled pulling, you know in advance and can prepare for it.

I wish that Marco would come up with a monitor to adjust smart. On the outlook monitor it has settings that say t-dog or other... . can it operate smarty?

I was also thinking about this, how about it Marco?

what about that quadzilla commander? I think I heard that it with it you can turn from 0 to 100 percent within a smarty program, but i am not sure... anyone out there running a commander and a smarty?

Just keep the Smarty #9 loaded all the time and adjus the TST as needed.

I drive around everyday with the Smarty on #9 just in case, and that with the orignal program.

That is what work's for me. :-laf
