I have been on the reserve list for some time and just now got word from Bob that my Smarty is on the way! YEAH-BABY!!! Oo.

Please understand that I don't have the smarty installed on my rig yet, just real curious about some of the details being posted by members with smartys'.

YOU LUCKY DOGS..... :-laf

Just read a few posts where folks are having issues with their rigs idling high, around 900rpm, after installing the smarty and downloading any of the SW#'s.

Is this an isolated occurance or is it because of the high idle feature enabled in the software program? Can this feature be disabled?

Are any of you guys experiencing surging with your cruise control?

If so, is there a fix in the works?

Does anyone know what the numbers are for correct tire size calibration for the smarty with folks running BFG 315's?

Thanks again to Marco and Bob, for all your hard work, you guys are what makes TDR such an awesome site!!!!

So far no problems like that at all. Downloading to a milder setting cured all driveability issues I have with #6 and up. And those issues are just mine, I'm getting more particular as I age. It is a GREAT product in my opinion.

Have Fun when you receive it :D .

I think only one person is having this problem, and he has had a host of programmers on that truck before the smarty.

As far as the surging with cruise control on, My trucks have always done that with a very big increase of horsepower. I think thats just the computer trying to compensate for the extra power.

I have'nt noted any issues with the 2 I have installed. To get the correct # for the 315's just measure the height of the tire and input. It should be somewhere around 34. 5 depending on how much wear on them. Use a GPS to check the accuracy and reinput accordingly.
