We put the smarty on about a year ago and put the high idle thing on and the three cylinder idle. How cold is it supposed to be for just the high idle to come on, and the three cylinder idle as well? It has been in the mid twenties at night and I haven't had it plugged in and it still hasn't come on, and it can't just go away.

IF I remember correctly it will ramp up to 1200RPM on all 6 cylinders in the low 20's. It has to be close to 0 before it will kick off to 3 cylinders at 1200RPM.

"and put the high idle thing on and the three cylinder idle" I do not understand this statement, loading the Smarty Software and reload it's stock Software should have activated the cold weather high idle, I was not aware that the Smart gave you an option to have it or not have it.

The truck needs to cold soak for 8 hours or so outdoors in the mid to higher 20's, or lower. After you start the truck and do not touch the brake pedal or throttle pedal for about 30 sec's it will slowly ramp up to 1200. IF it is below 15 degree's shortly after that, it was cause you to mess your pants, the first time it goes into three cylinder idle.

I don't know it was my brothers truck before and he was the one that put it on your probably right there isn't an option. I've never used the smarty personally all I know is that it put the high idle on and we dynoed better without the smarty. My brother is the smart one but he isn't able to access a computer so I took over his account so I can learn about diesels cause I think they're awesome. And Devan is my brother. I'm Dustin

Leave the truck sit & idle for a while without touching the throttle pedal as this will cancel the high idle feature. My truck takes a few minutes before it activates.

Be sure you use the even numbered programs with your Drag Comp. The timing with the odd numbers can interfere with the timing of the Comp.

I let it idle in the mornings before going to school from ten to fifteen minutes and it doesn't kick on, last night it got down to twenty degree's and still nothing.

Maybe thats what happened when we dynoed though cause I think we tried seven and then nine, the first run was 497 rwhp without the smarty and the other two were around 470 with the smarty

Try returning to stock & reload it again.
