My smarty came in today I downloaded Before I left the Post office. I turned the comp off and went right for #9 just like it has been stated not as much top end power but way more fun to drive. Turned the comp on 5+5 the smarty on # 8 oh boy :--) This thing is awsome I will be grinning for at least a week even if I don't drive it again (like that will happen)thanks to Marco for such a great product.

ok i was just getting ready to order a comp for my 99. give me the breakdown on "more fun to drive". my truck has no other performance mods as of yet.

Hendricks- Where in N Cal are you? I just got a Smarty, and if you are close to Sacramento, I wouldn't mind doing a temp download on your rig so you can see what it does. In the higher levels, you'll need to address the trans before too much power is added. Does the 99 have the small HY35 turbo? Modifying the wastegate actuator or an HX35 from a manual truck and a boost elbow will make a big difference as well.

I did like the candy bar. more fun is the throttle response it is as quick as a gasser spool up is much quicker than before I did not have much lag or wait time before but now it is not only fast but it has lots of power off idle it don't come on like a hammer it's very smooth. You do have to get use to if some, most important thing I have found is you have to ease out of the throttle a little more gently than before. Go ahead spend the money you won't regret it you wanted a new code reader anyway . I guess I should send in the tax return looks like it will cover a set of don's M3s and a phat shaft62... Sure is a costly sport. this is a sport right :-laf

So you can stack a edge comp with a smarty with no problems?

Got one on mine - wouldn't be without it! I leave the Smarty on #8, then adjust the Comp all the way from economy to omigod  instantly, right from the driver's seat!

Let me get this right if i stack a smarty with my comp and use the smarty with out giving any more timing things are o. k,if this is the case would it be wise to just sell my comp and get all the benefits from the smarty and stack smarty with a box that just fuels?Any suggestions on any other boxes? Thanks Jason

Yes you can stack Smarty & a Comp that way. Some have used SW #9 without problems also. Whether it's wise to sell the Comp might depend on what you can get for it. The TST & Blue Chip boxes work just fine with Smarty but My preference would be to go with Mach 4's & forget the box.

I think I will add Mach 4's and keep the box (turned off).

I just added my mach3s about two weeks ago so will be awhile before i put in mach 4s i was so close to getting the 4s but thought it would have been to much fuel, but now have read that they would of been fine . Thats the way things go. Would mach 4s with smarty have more power than mach3s with my comp? Thanks Jason
