My New Year's Wish (Ends January 13, 2012)

There was this young guy that drove this ford

With his hands always dirty he was anything but bored

Stumbled on a used Dodge with a cummins that the price was right

It became his almost over night

Laughed his father did at the sign of the Dodge they are nothing but junk

USED Diesel! more things things to fix

Dad said buy new and forget this bad Dodge Diesel mix

If you keep it you had better get more tools for your trunk

Listen to that knocing all that noise it's gonna come apart

Is it ment to do that right from the start??

Hey wife come heer an bring me a beer

Our son's got a problem here he's gonna be needin our car

every time its cold or he has to go far

Ah but this was no old Dodge but one of the first with the all mighty Cummins stuffed under the hood

And soon all was understood

When it was used to drag that Honda back dead from the wood

After 500,000 iles and still going strong

Guess that one truck that wasn't wrong

Thanks to TDR and Geno's leading the way that truck still runs today

While today I drive one of it's new younger brothers

I always wanted my own diesel truck. When I walk out the back door and see it sitting in the driveway it makes me feel good, proud, and satisfied that I made the right decision. When I turn that key and feel that power come to life, I know with confidence that I will be able to handle any level work load that may come my way. I love the way it feels, drives, hugs the road, the sound of that EB when it comes on, the whistle of that turbo when I kick in the throttle, even just letting it idle and feeling that rumble of power... . (sigh)... I just love my truck. I even talk to it. Her name is "Sweet Pea". Sad huh? I don't care. Laugh if you want to. This is the first vehicle that I have ever owned and have been almost 100% satisfied. I have NO modifications yet (why mess with a good thing). . but am looking at getting some gauges and some Mag Hytech transmission and diff covers.
