Smarty JR or POD

So i am ready to buy a Smarty for my Truck..... Just dont know which one to get the JR or POD?? Which did you guys buy and did you like it or wish you got the other??... . And where is the best place to buy one?... Thanks for the Info

The Jr is sweet for an otherwise stock truck. Any more power and you should expect transmission issues. If you are planning on beefing up your auto trans, then I would get the Sr, since that opens the gates to future power increasers, such as bigger turbo or twins. If you have absolutely no desire to go that route, then the Jr would be fine. The Jr is half the size of the Sr, also...

I think my Jr has power on demand as well so I'm not sure what the POD is. The Sr likely has more levels of adjustment but my Jr on towing at otherwise default settings provide lots of quick smoke free power with reduced EGT's so I'm very happy.

the smarty jr has pod. in my opinion the pod is a totally worthless option for the young tinkerers. just get a smarty jr, set it on default tow or power and go.

I agree about the POD option, I would never turn it below 100% on any sw, so to me it's a waste of $s.

i really can se a good thing with the pod. . i always use a high catcher software but dont want to damage the transmission all the time so i put pod on maby 40-60 and if someone is playing around or a bmw is trying to get rid of me i just press 99 and step on it...

i havent had time to check this out but i maby get more mpg then? shouldnt it work like that? when i take down the power when its nit needed

According to Bob, the best mileage on the Jr seems to be 100hp tune with it set at 80%.
