does the smarty jr up the alt voltage? I installed one and noticed the voltages are up so I changed the alt and its the same .

Not that I ever heard of. is the voltage within safe range? You might contact MADS.

Thats perfectly fine, the Gen3 works with 14.4 up to 15.2V charging, and this is commanded by the ECM, the Alternator doesn't have any influence on the Volts.

You burnt your money, sorry.

But be happy, now you have a spare Alternator, someday you'll need them, maybe..

14.6 volts is good thing!!!!! 12volts and your sunk.... if your batterys drop below 13.2-13.5 . your truck has issues.... altnator etc...
