Still waiting for the 06 AQ update!

I wonder what the need for the security of identifying the loaded software might be. I don't think other downloaders do this, but maybe thats one of the footprints other downloaders leave (an old software number).



Oh well... I geuss if I knew that stuff I'd be making and selling them instead of waiting to use the one I bought.



I wish I would have cancelled my last service appointment as I was afraid I'd get that new flash. :{ I'm kind of itching to try this thing out.

I'm Starting To Worry

Haven't heard a peep for a few days, I'm starting to wonder what's going on. Last I heard, I got a call from Bob and told me that possibly will be ready by the weekend, He asked me if I wanted to send it back or just wait to download it from the comp, I elected to wait. I'm starting to wonder if I should pack this thing up and send it back to him and wait until they're really ready (the way things are going lately with getting parts for this thing, it wouldn't surprise me :{ ). I know I'm being a bit impatient, but it's a bit hard for me to come up with $$, and I expected it to work right. Kinda like my luck with Bilstein lately, which I told them to cancel my order until they come in, not a half order and a bunch of excuses.

I'm still working on the updates. I know, I know... .

Please, let me explain. The last problem we've run into now is that with the latest updates they've mixed the cards with the " trip data " one more time. We need to crack the new code if we want to remain invisible to the DRB / StarScan.

It is true that the other guys do not have all those problems with the updates. They simply overwrite the new software with the older ones. Cheap trick, that can and does cause a lot of problems. Ranging form lost updates to killed ECM's... It's also true that they do not even care about being undectable.

All the above to make you understand why it takes us a lot of time. We do our thing different...

We have worked on new "service" softwares while we're on these updates. Softwares that will speed up things greatly for future updates. What took a week before can now be done in the matter of a couple hours. We will be able to do the next updates within hours from their relase from now on!

Ok, to come to an end. If nothing major does arrise we'll be able to publish the updates tomorrow afternoon-evening your time. 99. 8%... .

Thanks Marco... I think thats what we were looking for... just an update to let us know how things are going. It is a good thing that you like to cover all the bases and do things right. Sometimes it takes time to do these things. For those of us who have a new product that is not useable, the waiting is hard, or perhaps, the waiting with no information updates is hard. So it automaticlly puts it in as soon as you load it or something like that? If so, cool, another thing that I don't have to go back to the dealer to haggle with...

On my 06 auto trans it worked as soon as I loaded Smarty .

That's it exactly. Installed my Smarty Saturday and high idle was automatically enabled. Very cool.

Sweet!! So it already saved me at least $85, and the added mpg, but yet to deal with rear tire issues, I'll figure that issue out when the updates come in and I can run the thing. Tell ya what, during our little rain yesterday, I was having problems not spinning... ...
