Anybody have experience with a SMARTY on a truck with no other mods? Just looking for you input as I'm considering this. Thanks.

I played with mine a bit today :D It is amazing,I ran it on 1,3,7,and 9 on a 325 and on the 30 hp w/timing on a 03 so. Both trucks have exhaust and intakes. The bottom end is so strong and quick to come on,you will be sore from grinning. It is hard to find a place to open it up for long... ... ... but I was able a couple of times to run it up on #9 and watch it peak out at 1250 degrees. That is less than a juice runs. Amazing job Marco ! Thanks to Bob Wagner for hooking us up. It also passed the drb test ;)

Lips,

Long story short, The smarty makes the truck VERY FUN TO DRIVE each day b/c you get power off idle instant ! I almost would like to use the term No turbo Lag. It Rocks and from my experience can tell you that bully dog and edge do not have a product that will touch Smarty.

I really support the guy who said the engine now hangs on throttle !!!

Did Drb it Thumbs up... ... . I do remember Jake goin for the handle as we were going up a tight twisty hill climb catching up with traffic way too fast .

Can't wait for Glamis weather to try it in the dunes... ... ... . o no,here we go again I will be needing more suspension up grades too.

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm not looking to turn my truck into a 1/4 mile monster or anything, I'd just like a little additional oomph when pulling my Jeep (about 6K worth of jeep/trailer), but I don't want to have to worry about my stock transmission going bye-bye. Oh, and if I could smoke out the occasional tailgater or what not, that would just be a bonus :)

I have a totally stock 05'. And you will absolutley love it. I have tried 1, 3, 7. 9 and they are all amazing. ITS SO MUCH FUN. I also pull my jeep on a trailer with similiar weight but havent pulled with it on yet. But I mainly got it for fuel economy improvements with the occasional fun trip. I havent gotten a real chance to test the fuel numbers but so far it has improved except when I lay hard into it. But so far its amazing. It just wants to keep pulling and pulling!!! :--) :D

Played with mine a little today on the sw1 file and found out by watch my attitude moniter which was set to zero that the transmission was slipping pretty bad.

I don't beleive the transmission slip part of the edge. Mine would show, 30 something even 80 something when I had never even felt it slip. I would reset it, put the box on level 5 and dog it. No slippage. The next morning running on level 1 mildly accelleration on an on ramp and it would report 35 % slippage again, which again I didn't feel. I narrowed it down to if the truck is less than 140 degrees in temperature and you even mildly get on it, the edge said the transmission slipped. I love my smarty though. It pulls way harder than the edge
ever did. You will love it on a stock truck.

I've been up that twisty hill before with you and look forward to climbing it again with my Smarty.

No need for suspension upgrades, with the power created by the Smarty you should skip from one whoop to the next.
