Well I have been seriously pondering ditching my BullyDog Power Pup in favor of a Smarty, however the research I have done seems to show that guys with SO trucks are not having very good luck with the Smarty's. Was wondering if more people would chime in here. Is anyone with an SO having good luck with their smarty? I have an 03 SO and it appears that that might just be the worst combo/year for the smarty. Any input would be great!

Thanks guys

I am not 100% sure on this, but only the 04. 5 and up trucks can use the #8 and #9 on the Smarty, just to let you know

Your wrong

03-04 can still benifit in less TQ managment on #8-9. The 04. 5+ have a 40+HP gain

I ran #9 on my 04 305/555 at the strip last week and was loaded with damn near a full tank of fuel in my aux tank (60 gal) and my big ol' heavy bumper and ran 16. 01. SMARTY alone. I wouldn't have got near that with my BDPP... Like trying to compare apples and oranges... The SMARTY rocks!

I weighed in at 7650 lbs and ran a 15. 15 on SW#6 and 4/0 on TST. Much quicker than my volumizer. Ropinfool let me know if you want to try the Smarty, I'm in menifee.

Avi - Are you an SO or HO?

I'm having issues with the Smarty and my SO. But we're thinking it's the bigger injectors, not the SO. A few other non-SOs that are running injectors are experiencing the same problems. That's why we think it's a bigger injector thing, not an SO thing.

Matt,

I am an HO and was experiencing pinging as well with the Smarty on "no timing" and the TST. I downloaded the "Stock Torque Management" from the website for the run posted above. I did not notice it during the drags, too much going on in the cab. It is still there at 1800 ropm, but not as prevalent. I will try the updated "standard smarty software" tomorrow to see if the pinging is still there with the TST. I am working on reflashing my TST so that I can turn off the timing on the TST. I just purchased the old TST and they did not send the bypass connector. I am a bit lazy when it comes to uninstalling harnesses. I don't understand why there are issues with the TST and Smarty when they where designed together. However, I am impressed with the turn around time for the Marco's updates.
