SMARTY installed and set on level 3. PRXB Brake turned on and truck in drive travelling at 37mph. Suddenly the truck starts to buck violently back in and out of gear. If I accellerate hard this subsides immediately. If I turn off the brake it also quits immediately. This occurs every time without exception. It is a bummer because it keeps me from just loping along and utilizing the brake when needed. Any suggestions? This did not happen with the Edge & Juice setup. YES, I am very pleased with the Smarty.

I have Pacbrake and Smarty. No problems. However, mines a manual transmission. Is the lockup device for your auto working properly?

Gentlemen-thank you for all the responses.

The lock up device is part of the PRXB brake controller. (I assume) There is a wire tap that hooks up to the transmission that I hooked up myself as part of the instalation instructions. I believe this is what monitors the t/c loockup.

There is no switch at the go pedal. This setup did not come with one. Instead the conroller for the PRXB brake controller must "talk" to the ECM on the truck because at all other speeds the brake immediately disengages when I even touch the go pedal-as it should.

I did not disconnect the Pac Brake controller when I up loaded the SMARTY. My oversight-I will try this over the weekend and hopefully this will straighten things out. Thanks again for all the suggestions... TDR brotherhood once again comes to my rescue. :)
