After a few runs up and down the street wondering how long my stock auto will last with my new smarty, my neighbor stepped out of his house to see what all the racket was. He asked if I had "chipped" my truck and I told him "no... it is just a smarter truck"



This smarty thing is a dandy. I cannot believe the response on the throttle. WOW!



My worries about the surging, idle, and circle around my gear indicator are no more. I had zero problems loading this software up on my pickup. I am very happy. The old cummins sounds happier too.

I think I've got that too. Put it down in "1" (1st) on my 48re and the circle around the number does not light up. Is this what your talking about? After it warms up for a few seconds the circle will "light up. " Figured it was just a bad connection or something. Are you thinking the new upload program fixed it?

I got the same thing, plus a slew of other bugs. Anyone try the new software update posted on the Smarty web site yet? Just curious if it cures these issues.

So whats the whole scoop on this Smarty tuner? I read that it doesn't add any horsepower. ?? Torque ?? How is it different from the Superchip tuner ??

I had read in another post somewhere (may have been another dodge forum) that a guy loaded a smarty up and lost the digital circle that goes around which selection you have made on your auto. In other words, the PRND21 would light up, but the circle that tells you which one you have chosen was gone- so you would be shifting by feel. So far, that is there is only one that I know of, but he had other software installed on the truck previous to the smarty. I was just a bit nervouse because I had not gotten mine yet.
