well i got my new smarty in and i love it so far... but which is better letting the smarty do the fuel and timing or leave the timing out and use my drag comp box. . so far i have just had the smarty on #6 with the DC box off because my transmission is on its way out...

has any one dynoed it with a box on 5x5 on #8 then put it on #9 with the box off to see which makes more power?

and at what temp will the high ideal and three cyc. work? b/c it got below freezing and i forgot to plug the truck in and when i started the truck in the morning it started the same as it always does...

It takes a few minuets for the high idle to kick in. I don't remember exactly what the temperature is that activates it but I think it's around freezing.

As for the timing issue, that's up to you & your own experiments. If you are not using the higher fueling levels I'd think the Smarty would do a better job of timing but I don't think you can separate the timing function for the Comp from the advanced fueling levels. Some people have reported good luck with both together but some have had surging issues. With Smarty you can try all combinations & see what you like.
