I've been reading all I can about the Smarty for my 05. should I be able to get better mileage if I keep it on a lower setting versus stock?

Michael, I'm showing 1-2 MPG better with the smarty on 3. EGT's are down by about 100 degrees also. You'll be VERY happy with as with almost everyone that buys one.

Both the Smarty and the TST PowerMax-CR add timing. More timing advance will help mileage, usually 1-2 mpg.

Like Joe said, added timing = lower egts and better mileage. You will be fine on the SW#3 which is 60hp + timing. This is the highest you can safely go witha stock auto.
