I read somewhere that the upper levels will exceed the capabilities of my stock turbo. What does that mean? Also in the adjustable options it is not recommended to run Rail pressure on level 3 or 4 for extended periods. What is considered an "extended period of time"? Timing level 3 is for aftermarket injectors. What happens if I run this setting with stock injectors?

Thanks,

Drew

It means that the higher levels of the smarty add a lot of fuel and heat. With the increased fuel boost will increase. The stock turbo is good till about 32-35 psi. Higher than that and it is just inefficient, it is just pushing hot air into the motor, plus the stocker can't handle boost psi much higher than 40psi.

Increasing rail psi makes power but it is rough on the injectors. Extended periods of time means towing heavy loads, racing etc. .

I believe the different injector levels just deal with timing. Aftermarked injectors increase timing a little bit and smarty just adjusts for that.

Maybe Bob Wagner will chime in if my answers are a little off. Hope this helps

If you run the aftermarket injector timing you will notice increased egt's compared to the stock injector timing software.

The lower the timing advance th higher the egt's.

Marco decreases the timing for aftermarket injectors that increase timing slightly.

Its more of a sound issue ( timing rattle)

Our goal is most hp with the least amount of smoke. And the adjustable on the fly (power on demand) should be very good for fuel economy increases.

Thanks
