BD Cool Down Timer - Install Questions

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone is running into any engine stumbling with this combination. I understand that the stock CP3 won't supply enough fuel with the TST torque setting past 2 or 3, but mine is losing fuel pressure at 1500 through 2500rpm. I called TST and they said to install a FASS. I already have one installed that bypasses the stock filter housing and goes straight to the pump. I guess my question is wether or not this is normal. If so, then I will just have to stay off the skinny pedal. I also have 110 Schied injectors, so I wouldn't be suprised if I am running out of fuel.

I'd be surprised if you can run the TST much at all... on my early '04 I ran the TNT on 9 and the TST on power level 4... if I ran it on level 5, it would dump rail pressure, even if I had the Smarty on 5

also, run the TST on the standard program! running it on a twins program would destroy rail pressure even on power level 1

now, I was only running 50hp injectors, and an '05 is going to put out more fuel than my early '04

you might be on the edge of your combo as far as the CP3 is concerned

With the new Smarty TNT program I can only use minimal TST without running out of RP. I have the TST on 2/0 mainly for its boost fooling and a little top end help. Try TST with 2/0 or 3/0 and see if that stops the stumbling. I do get added power and boost with the TST, just can't turn it up much with the newer Smarty code.

I have a Wicked stage III CP3 and still have issues.

I dyno'd last weekend with the Smarty on TNT level 1 RP 2 and the TST on 5x2 with RP on 2 and got 485 HP.

Then put TST on 0x0 and Smarty on 9 TNT and got less power then before so I turned the TST up to 4x1 and it started to pull then stumbled and acted like it was fouling up then cleared up and recorded 534 HP.

Life was easier with the Hot Juice, 511 HP with no issues (stumbling).

I think I need more guages to monitor whats going on.

I just wish I didn't have to spend the money and install time on a TST just to get that extra top end :(

My stock CP3 could not feed Smarty TNT on sw#9, #7 is suspect, try adding TST to that and I would lose power.

The 411 tune SW#9, I can add TST 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, (no tq settings on the TST, you will tax the CP3 too hard, too early, it cannot catch up later). Anything over 3/0 with this stack I lost hp on the dyno. The Revo is very similar to the 411, so I would guess you could achieve "like" results using these settings.

I have an old R37 TST, so there is no adjustment for timing, it is what it is. When I stack with Smarty, I use the Standard tune and hp settings only, this seems to net me the best results.

Now I am playing with the TNT sw#6 (less timing), my truck does not like #5, #7, #9 (catcher tunes), it bucks/pops, does strange stuff. So far #6 is playing nice. I am going to stay on #6 and start introducing TST hp only, into the mix. So far my egt's and rp tell me I can stand some more fuel, it's looking promising.

what size injectors are you running? I'm running TNT on 7 on my '06, all stock save the transmission... holds good rail.

my 555 04 held great w/ TNT 9, TST 4/0-4/3, with Flux 1's and a FASS 150!

what TST program are you running? if it's a twins program, I found your problem!

you'd be surprised... adding a little torque to the TST will get the twins lighting sooner, which = more boost, which = MORE RAIL!!!!

it's a delicate balance

I'm running 110 Schied injectors. I have tried every combination listed above. I have a Fass 150 with the filters and bypassed thestock filter housing. The engine still spits a bit even with the TST on 3/0 The smarty is on the CAtcher #9. I have the torque manangment at 2 and the rail pressure at 2. The timing advance is also on 2 as to the recommendations in the manual if you have aftermarket injectors. MPG dropped a little but still getting better than stock. All the work I did myself, so I know it's right. Just don't trust anyone else to have the attention to detail that I do with my own truck. I have just come to the fact that I need a bigger CP3. Has anyone tried the dual rail line offered by Industrial Injection?
