Does anyone know if setting #3 (for aftermarket injectors) is more advanced than setting #1 (stock)??

The REVO instructions say that #3 is less than #2, but doesn't say if its more than #1. I want it to be more than #1, but am not sure if its more or less...

My major/only complaint with Smarty is the cryptic language on the settings and all of the confusion and when we ask very specific questions, we rarely seem to get a straight answer from Bob or Marco...

Bob and Marco... if you are listening... PLEASE re-write the instructions so that they are more meaningful to us anal types.

Thanks,

Louis

Yes #3 is more advanced than stock.

#1 is stock timing, #2 is advanced timing for stock injectors, #3 is less advanced for bigger injectors (which inherently add timing), #4 most timing advance for fuel economy.

I agree they should be written a little better. I posted specific questions on the TNT version (even more cryptic than REVO) and got no response from Bob and others referred me back to the directions which I had read more than once already.

I think part of the problem is Marco's first language I presume is Italian.

Whos on first

I understand that there maybe some language issues but it is NO EXCUSE FOR NOT EVENTUALLY GETTING US THE INFORMATION. It can not be that difficult for Bob and Marco to put pen to paper and make us some simple charts. It does not need to be some Abbot and Costello "whos on first -whats on second " routine. #@$%!

The Smarty info has been posted by Bob numerous times in the past. Try Search. He might be busy? Try emailing him directly if it's an emergency. Same goes for all vendors.

While we are at it, what degree of advance for each #? Setting 1,2,3 etc. I have run setting 3 on my truck but can hear much more clatter. I was worried about it so I just run the default for catcher 1.

Smarty Sr timing (least to most): 1,3,2,4

Thank you!

I reset it yesterday to Level 1 (30hp), Timing on 3, Torque management and rail pressure on 1 (stock).

I sure hope MADS and Smarty are reading this. Lots of paying customers want more info to help educate them on the best settings for their situation...

But there in lies the issue. . Each driver/truck/engine is different and with all the combo possibilities the manual on what to use would be 4,592 pages long...

It just boils down to trial and error to find user preference.
