Off Roading What winch said the wench. You gotta have both.

I use a Smarty S67 while towing heavy RV. I use the 90HP setting. How can tweak my settings to get increased TQ.??

You can change the TQ management in the software of the Smarty program that you are using.
The following options are provided. #0-Default #1-OEM Stock Torque Management #2-Mild #3 Moderate (after market clutch/AT transmission recommended!) #4- Wild (after market clutch/AT transmission needed!)

Per MAD'S the higher the # you choose the less Torque management remains and more aggressive the throttle response becomes.

Good Luck!

1 of the First 100 Smarty's in this country, Still with the "ORIGINAL" Program!;)

ZOOM, ZOOM!:-laf

You'll be needn a 3-D torque converter and valve body, minimum.

With the above, TC and VB, I experienced a 30 HP increase, minimum and a 2 mpg increase.

Just say'n.

Thanks Sled. I left Suncoast a very short time ago with a new towing transmission and 3D TC.

Thanks Jim, since leaving Suncoast I am towing my RV. I have tried everything from 30-170HP. I am settling in on the 90HP for best power/fuel mileage. I have been inching up on the TQ setting and will be leaving out in the morning with TQ on #4. I did notice driving around Dallas late this evening on #4 the shift points were closer together and shifts were very firm.

We have now travelled from Fort Walton Beach to Glacier and the SunCoast transmission has so far done a very good job. I towed mostly used 130HP setting but the last leg from West Yellowstone to Glacier on 90HP. I think the 90 HP setting with turbo boost set on #4 is doing very well with EGTs and mileage.
