Could anyone shed some light on the settings for a Smarty with compound turbos? I cant recall where but i remember hearing something about adding timing to a truck with compounds would increase cylinder pressure too much. Is this accurate? I was thinking about sticking with the pre-set tuning parameters 1-9. I believe the odd numbered settings add timing. Am i safe with these or should i stick to the tunes with no added timing? Thanks to all for any advice.

I believe you will be okay with any of the timing settings on Smarty. I can't imagine compounds vs a single making a difference pertaining to cylinder pressure regarding timing, I could produce as much manifold pressure with my Silver 62 as with my R700's, just not as early.

I run timing 3 as opposed to the default setting of 2(odd sw), because my 03 does not like that much timing under load.

i run the smarty from 5 to 9, but with the big injetors i need the extra timing, also have the tst stacked and use that to fine tune the timing. i have running is way for over a 120k miles.

Thanks for the info gents! Your trucks must be monsters with the injectors and compounds! I am definately in need of a better fuel pump soon. I find it takes very little to drain the rail.
