Going by my signature, what do you think a Smarty would do for me? Can it be run in conjunction with a DD-TTPM which is just an EZ. I also have a boost fooler. Would I remove the fooler and the TTPM and just go with the Smarty. Does a Smarty need the pump tapped. I REALLY don't want to tap that crazy VP-44 and wonder if it manipulates the pump so tapping is unecessary.

Questions, questions... .

well i dont have one so i dont know for sure but i've been thinking about one myself. From what i understand, there is no wiring at all, and no pump tapping. it simply plugs in, you do your downloading, and unplug. But like i said, thats just what i assume, i don't acutally have any experience with one.

It's a downloader, dont need to pump tap,... . just plug in, upload software, unplug.

For now, keep the boost fooler as the current software versions dont do boost fooling (but marco is working on it)...

Several people run the smaty with either the EZ or MP8 for pressure and smarty for timming/duration... . I think you're a perfect Smarty candidate.

The Smarty 2nd gen does boost fooling on all levels. It is the newer 3rd gens that don't right now. I love my SMARTY!

I borrowed one from a friend for the winter, and I really like it. If you try one, chances are you will own one, they work that well. It plugs in and in a minute or two, it reprograms the ecm, no wires, nothing else to fiddle with. It really works well with the set-up I have which isnt a lot different than yours. The engine seems to run a lot more free. It feels better and sounds like its laboring a lot less at higher rpms. The turbo lag (in my set-up) is pretty much zero. Instant throttle response and instant boost. Its almost scary on 8 and my box on 3x5. I cant imagine what this would feel like on a high HP truck.

It comes with software for boxes that add timing and software for those that dont. If you run a box that adds timing, DONT run a program that adds timing, that would be bad. um-kay?

It is really easy to use and comes with very detailed instructions. If you can read, you can use a Smarty.

How much power will the Smarty add? I was leaning toward the Juice... but I'm open to suggestions. I already have guages so the Attitude is not an issue... really looking for the power...

Smarty will get you about 60 hp, which is about what they all do without taping the wire. The thing with Smarty isn't how much power you get but the way you get it. It's the throttle response.

if i had it to do over i would have gone a diff route. dont get me wrong i love my smarty but without injectors or a box i dont think it was a good first step. The smarty gives very good throttle response but no top end fuel at all imho. My driving style (wide open stop, wide open stop) would have been better suited with the tst or injectors first and then the smarty. however without trans upgades im already killing the stock slush box with just the smarty.
