smoke screw location

I have been doing my stage one upgrades. I have located the diaphram and loosened the spring and have also turned the full fuel screw 3/4 of a turn. That is all the welded collar would allow. I would like more pre boost fueling but cant seem to locate the smoke screw as described in the instructions. Also, what is the best method of removing the collar on the full fuel screw?

I removed the full fuel screw from the pump and CAREFULLY cut the collar with a sawzall and used needle nose pliers to peel it off.

The smoke screw is under the metal cap in the diaphram cover. You have to pry the cap out with two screwdrivers or similar.

If your Full Power screw has a hex end on it, just take a 6mm wrench and turn it in while holding the jambnut still with the 13mm. Takes a little force, but it beats taking out the screw, getting the collar off, and losing where you were.



The "smoke screw" cap can come out with some careful prying with a knife or small screwdriver. I have had little success one way or another by turning it in or out. My truck smokes enough as it is, so I have it backed all the way out.
