Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Smoke???

Hi All,



I am noticing quite a puff of smoke when starting truck now that it is summer. Temperature this AM was bout 60 degrees. Been up to bout 90+ during the last few days here in Oregon. So... ... ... ... my question is... ... ... is it normal for the Cummins to smoke more on start up on warm days or do I have a potential problem? Didn't notice anything at all in the cooler days. Have only owned truck since November of 2001. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds normal to me. I get a little puff when I start my truck. Hotter temps will cause your truck to smoke a little more.

Roger... . It is normal when warm.
