so i just helped my buddy put the Banks six gun with the PDA on his 03 ford 6. 0 liter, manual, single cab, longbed, 4x4, on 40inch groundhawgs, intake and exhaust. i also have the six gun with pda, technicooler, bighead wastgate, intake, exhaust, and a short throw shifter, on my 04. 5 CTD 600 6spd 4door longbed 4x4 on 33x12. 50 tires. so we raced after we put the six gun on his truck and he passed me like i was standin still! :{ i know those 6. 0 liters are fast with the VVT turbos and such high RPM, and with just one mod they really scoot, but i have wasted many of them before. i know for sure one had the juice and one with superchipes they were all automatics also. but they were a good race but i won those i know my clutch is slippin a little, but come on hes on fourtys inch tires! Just wondering if there is maybe another box or something i can run with my six gun? For a good price im just a shade tree guy working hard everyday tryin to make a livin. Please help so i can run laps around those powerjokes

ditch that banks six gun, get the tst PMCR box, or BDDL with crazy larry (or use then both!!!! Oo. Oo. ), FASS 150gph, I. I. 3 flow injectors, put a good clutch in that thing, and throw a 66/14 of your choice on it and never look back! Oo. :-laf

I have the BDDL and well the rest of the stuff is below, but there's a 05 power stroke here on base with 44" boggers and I smoke his ***** by a long shot. He won't even look at me anymore. I'm not into that racin stuff that much, but when I saw that Cummins Killer in the sides of his truck where the XLT is supposed to go, I couldn't help myself. I had to see for myself if he was really a "Cummins Killer" I agree with everyone else ***** can that Banks crap and get a real mod "TST" with a SPS 66... . I have the Super 62 and love it, the only reason I didn't get the 66 was I haul some heavy, heavy loads from time to time...

Think of it this way to, with your buddy's mods on his 6 liter he's screwed. Their temperamental anyway, now it's just a matter of a very short time, he'll have a faulty injector, or computer, or turbo or POS period...

that's wierd,, my plumber came to work one day and wanted to race me in his 05 stroker w/bone stock tires, he was with crazy larry and grinin,,,,,, until i pulled him hard 4 times in a row and he says there's no way that those big tires (37") can get going that fast and that was before the tst.

he came back the next day with a VW bettle with some audi twin turbo gas engine in it and says he'll woop me in it. he didnt, i could still pull that little car but i must admit that little thing was pretty fast.

In 1/4 mile racing bigger tires can sometimes make faster ET's! Its hard to run with the autos with our 6spds even from a roll due to lossing and trying to recover boost between shifts.

'05 Powerstroke & Lots of White Smoke???

My neighbor's '05 PS is on its second engine & is developing a white smoke issue. Even at idle, white smoke pours out of the tail pipe, all the time. When you crack the throttle, it produces a big puff of smoke.



He has an Edge performance box on the truck. Don't remember what it's called.



Any ideas what could be causing the white smoke. It has a distinctive smell but, I don't believe it's coolant. It doesn't seem to be like steam. More like smoke.



This guy has had more problems with Ford products. Got rid of his older PS-7. 3 after replacing his eighth transmission. Engine held up OK, though.



He then bought an '04, which, he promptly blew up. Didn't take the box off when he took it to the dealer. They denied his warranty claim after tearing down the engine. Put everything in the bed of the truck & told him to haul it away. He did & rebuilt it himself. It ran fine but, he didn't trust it, anymore. That's when he bought the '05, & that engine blew up, too.



The other day, he started asking me about the Dodge/Cummins products.



So, that's his story. Anyone know what could be causing the smoke?

either head gasket, or more commonly ive seen now is the egr vavle going bad which dumps coolant into the exhaust, which will produce that white smoke that your decribing, my buddy has an 05, the egr valve went bad, and blew white smoke everywhere. also if it's coolant, youll have no mistake knowing if it is.

EGR Cooler going bad... . not the valve... the valves get stuck open with carbon build up. .
