NO, really, it happened. NOT A PRETTY SIGHT. going home last night, i was directly behind an old Yugo--yes, still running. when the stoplight turned green, he took off and laid down a cloud of smoke that would have made one of us proud. i got a good smell of it. wasn't even a diesel, just burning oil. :{

even worse, he took off as fast as the yugo would go, and since he chose to run 15-20 MPH above the speed limit, i couldn't even catch him... ..... :--)

Actually, I would like to do a 1/4 mile prostock Yugo. Start by building a tube frame stretched say 24". Drop in 600+ cu. in. engine. Set body on frame and cut away what is in the way. Build extended front fenders.



Put YUGO back on the trailer in large letters across the back!
