I bought my truck a year ago, and never had any problems... until it got cold last fall.
When cold (below 40 degrees) last fall, the truck would bellow white smoke until the egt gauge hit about 200 degrees.
The dealer said that was a-ok, as the diesel does that when cold (this is my very first diesel truck)... .
SO now it is pretty warm (70 degrees0 and the white smoke still bellows on startup, and it runs prety rough until I put it into either reverse or drive... as soon as it is in gear, it smooths out beautifully and all smoke stops...
If this is all normal for a diesel, I guess I can live with it, and maybe I just did not notice the smoke last year..... any advice??? Thanks
BTW... I love this truck!!!
