Guys I need your help. The other day I was leaving work and noticed allot of blue smoke coming from 01 CTD out the exhaust. It never has used on before and I don't race or pull loads with it. Mostly highway driving. I do my own oil changes with shell 15w-40 . I pulled over checked the oil it was down 1. 5-2. qts. Could this be a valve, manifold gasket or turbo??? There is residual oil on the out side of the tail pipe that was never there before. Thanks guys Brian

It sounds like the turbo, pull the intake boot off and inspect the shaft for end play and up and down,if you pull your exhaust pipe i'm sure oil will be in the exhaust side of the turbo and if you pull the turbo the exhaust manifold should be dry... ... if not head or piston and ring problem... .

Oh man, that don't sound good. That's what my truck did when the head gasket blew. Used about 2 gallon of oil in 20 miles. White smoke and kinda missing. Of course, I was pushing mine way too hard! Fill in the sig, then we can help better.

o1 quad cab 4wd 121,000mi. upgraded injectors fuel press. gauge almost stock. As said before all i do is drive to work and back . Almost 110mi. daily and mostly highway. I didn't see any oil outside of engine. Engine is still smooth and seems strong just smoking blue smoke all the time . I'll have to wait until Friday until I can dig in and figure this out. Until now my wife is doing w/o her vehicle. Any help would be great. Thanks Brian
