Hello

This Is The First Time That I Have Posted A Questtion



I Got In My Truck To Start It And A Wire That Appears To Go To The Starter System Has Got A Short Or Something, My Question Is How Hard To Bypass This As I Am A Work And Need To Get Home Tonight.

Is it the primary wire or the wire that trips the solenoid? My guess is it's the primary wire, and has just rubbed through so it has a bare spot grounding on the chassis or fender on its way to the starter. Try taping the rubbed spot if you can.



If that isn't it, start the truck, then disconnect it from the battery to get home.

Thanks for the Help

I did find that the wire between the relay and a two wire plug had buned up but did not cause any damage else where was able to replace the wire at the relay plug and by passed the two wire plug with a fuseable link for safety.
