In high gear it will puff out a blast and go . From a light it will pour smoke continuosly for quite awhile and feel doggy till high gear. I know this truck was set up to pull a large trailer and low end was sacrificed but is there something that I should look at . The timing is at 15.
RJ2, get on over to our TDR meet in Ocala, and we'll get that thing dialed right in! I will have my tools with me, am sure some of the other guys will too!
That sounds good, when is the meet. I just went back and reread a post on starwheels and I think it answered part of my problem. I live in the city and have to be aware of the fact I am fogging the cars at the light. Since I don't haul often, and the only hills in Fla are the overpasses how should I adjust the starwheel? Thanks
if you take the cover ooff the star wheel and back it off - that is,turn the top of the star away from the engine, it should reduce the smoke screen on the take off. Try a couple turns for starter.
