Smoothie Cup Holder for an 05

How do I adjust the latch on my center console , so it will latch after installing the smoothie cupholder? The 05's do not have a post type latch pin.

my 04 needed no adjusting. . i just close the lid down on it, then give it a firm smack with the palm of my hand right above the latch mechanism and it catches...

you have to peel the cover off the inside of the console to access the screws holding the latch mechanism in. I put two shims I cut from sheetmetal under the latch mechanism.

IAfter tooo many tries I used Velcro and it works every time I closr the cover.
