Looking good,one of the first trucks i remember riding in was a red and black B-61 with 30in. box sleeper.

Nice! I wonder if it is Mack or Cummins powered? That was my first truck in the log woods, hot in the summer and cold in the winter, 205 Thermodine with a 5x4 Quadraplex transmission, camel back springs on Mack 7.14 rears. Out of all the trucks I owned, my favorite was my '83 Mack Superliner, 400 Big Cam 3 with 13 spd and 4.63 Mack rears. The steering box was mounted on the front axle and drove like a car.

My dads first truck was a B-61 with a 711 engine and a duplex trans.
Thing was a beast!
From what I'm told a huge number of those were exported ti Saudi Arabia many years ago and are probably still in use.

Mike I hear ya! Gotta admit the chassis are still good though. Engines? The real macks died a horrible death.

Nick, you had a Superliner with a Cummins? I only thought they came with the 998v8. That must have been a custom truck.

Superliners were available with Cummins or Cat power in addition to the E6-350 and E9?-V8.

I drove one that had 3406A Cat power. Nice truck too.

We just arrived in PA for our Christmas visit, and I had planned to go to the Mack museum, but it is under renovations. I am a big Bulldog fan.

I have a older Mack R600 1990 with the cat motor and a small coffin style sleeper that I use on a regular basis to pull a 40 ft equipment trailer and a 44 ft enclosed car hauler it's a beast with 450 hp and 13 speed transmission I did a rear cut off and welded on a freightliner air ride rears it's got about 2 millon miles on her but still road ready
