I was in the local wholsale club today. Uniroyal 235 85 16 for $102. 00. Are these tires worth it? The stock GoodYear's SUCK!! The Uniroyal's are load range E. Should I save my pennies and go with Michelin? I plan on my next set to be 19. 5 or 22 Rickson's. Do ya think I'll get better mileage out of the Uniroyal's? The stock tires are coming up on 25,000 miles and are not gonna make it through winter:mad: The Uniroyal's have a really nice deep tread design!

I have, and always will, buy by Michelin. I get good milage from them and they seem to have a stiffer sidewall which i like for carrying loads.

... just my . 02 cents... .

We had UNIRIPOFFS on 3 of our service trucks ( 1 ton's ) They blew side walls even on the inside dually's. Big POS

Go with BFG AT's.

I Just replaced my BFG's w Michelin's and they are a little squirrely towing. Will be putting BFG's on steering axle next week, if that does not help then all 4 and take a big loss on the Michline's. Just got back from L VEGAS to day. The Michelin's provided some white knuckler's. On curves mostly while passing or being passed. I never had problems on the same routes w/ BFG's, been to L V 7 times in the last 2 years w/ no problems riding on BFG.

Got a second set of the Uniroyal AWP's on my truck. Had 40,000 on the last set. All highway miles with the occasional heavy load in the back. I think they are pretty good tires for the $$$. Not too noisy, good in the rain and snow.

Will never buy BFG or Goodyear again. Garbage tires IMO.

If you have a BJ's wholesale club try them. Best prices around on tires. Ask about sales too. Every once in a while they do a "buy 4" deal.
