Maiden post! I have been learning as much as possible through this great site. It is a pleasure to belong to a group that isn't filled with immature kids. My wife has been hounding me for years to get neutered. After sucking it up and doing the deed, I announced that I was so going to order my new truck. She saw I was in pain so put up almost no resistance. I knew I had to sieze the rare opportunity and went into the dealer the next day, sore boys and all. Hopefully it will be ready in 3-4 months. No hurry as I am still trying to sell my previous home after a move. Pre-apologies for any ingnorant questions. I will use the search feature a lot.

thanks,

Barry

Welcome and Congratulations,

Although some members may get irritated by common questions and it is advisable to use the search feature as well as the FAQ's, I belong to the " there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers" crowd. Ask away.

Cheers

Dave

ps. tell us about your truck by filling out your signature.

I felt your pain... about 30 years ago! Don't worry the pain won't last long and the scars will eventually disappear. You did better than I since I didn't get a new truck in the deal! Hey, you never know what kind of info you get on this site. :D

Welcome to the TDR!

What a price to pay!!! And most dealers only charge an arm and leg! :D

Welcome to the fold. Don't read ANYTHING about BOMBING or- oh nevermind. These trucks are so much fun to tweak, it's hard not to. Ask questions and don't forget to use the search engine for previous topics.

Greg

Thanks for the replys! I knew if I let the chance slip away it may not appear for a while. Since I sell hi-po auto parts, I will keep the bombing to a minimum for a bit. It's easy to go overboard in a hurry. Just plan on sticking to the basics for now.

Hate to be the one to throw water on the fire, but I don't think you got a good deal, dude. Couldn't you have said that you're keeping the boys *and* getting a new truck, end of story?

Yeah, could have, but like they say... . "If momma's not happy, nobody's happy". Besides, the fringe benefits will be sweet. We have two awesome kids and now it's time to play. The snip was already planned. I just moved up the truck purchase to lower the "grief factor". It's too bad my wants outweigh my needs!

There are certain advantages to "shootin' blanks"! :D

1/2 the stuff

And remember, get all that nice stuff done to your truck, the next guy might like it.

My father-in-law told me two things the day I married his "little girl".

1. He had a no return policy.

2. War is hell on the homefront. Let her win the arguments you really don't care about and life will be far easier.

Man, what some guys won't give for a truck. One I could understand, but both???????

He's been defueled.

Post-menopause has its benefits too.

a group that isn't filled with immature kids
However, I've noticed a few, who shall remain nameless, haven't quite grown up yet.

As Mark Twain said "Maturity is when the twinkle goes out of your eye. " or something to that effect

The sign that hangs in my father-in-law's office
