try our kelderman front air ride if you are worried about front end sag with the extra weight of the snowplow. you just pop out the factory shocks and coil and install our air ride. you just add air when the plow is on, then let some air out when it is off.

I have a 2003 2500 with a cummins and the factory snowplow prep and in two weeks I am having my 8 foot fisher minute plow put on. To be honest I do not know what makes up the package on these trucks but my 01' gasser had the plow package and that was heavier duty front springs, heavy duty transfer case (NP241HUD W/ PTO PROVISION),auto trans overheat warning lamp, and a bigger alternator. I made sure this new truck had a plow package before I bought it so it is a definite option.

The Dodge site will allow you to build certain 2500 and 3500 configurations with the snow plow prep group and the Cummins. Whatever dealer said you can't get the snow plow prep group with the diesel is wrong.

Im just going by what dodge told me,1 800 4 adodge I think was the #. shows that calling dodge ,the horses a*@ you don't get the right info sometimes.

When I went to order my '99 I asked the salesman what the "Computer Selected Front Springs" meant in the Snow Plow Prep option. I wanted everything heavy-duty that was available. He told me "Oh no, you don't want that if you are looking for reliability. That means that it has a computer that controls the height of the front springs. It is complicated and prone to lots of problems. " I asked if he was sure about that "crazy" statement and he told me "absolutely, I have been selling Dodge trucks for many, many years. " Needless to say, I passed on the Snow Plow Prep option and ended up with mushy front springs that I had to replace. 5 Star dealer all the way! If you are ordering luxury options (power seats, etc), the D/C computer will pick the weakest springs available. Get the option, the difference in handling with the stiffer springs is huge.
