Sounds like the biggest snow storm of the year is about to roll through Milwaukee area and I don't have my truck. What fun is snow in a minivan? I just needed to gripe a little about this fact.

I'll have some fun for you in my truck. :)

We're only predicted to get 10 inches in my neck of the woods, or in my case treeless woods. :)

You'll just have to enjoy it twice as much next time.

get to the nerest dodge dealer and "test drive" a knew 08'. or go to the nearest carmax and take one for spin :) better theirs than yours anyhow... haha

you got a fourwheeler or anything to take out? youve gotta know somebody with a truck thats gonna be out tearin around in it.

Speaking of snow, my daughter lives in Northern New Mexico and they got 33" of the white stuff yesterday with more expected today.

See, when it snows I drive around and pull bad drivers out of ditches... which most of the time happen to be girls right around my age... not saying anything about the way they drive or anything..... but its a great time to show off your truck and help someone out at the same time. I don't think thatd be a good idea with a test drive truck.

haha see i go around and pull guys my age outta ditches... ironic! lol

JG, I just checked out your photo gallery, your truck looks a lot like mine. This is odd, because I was just recently telling Greenleaf his truck looked like mine and that two tone silver/grey seems to be pretty rare. Until you and Greenleaf, I never saw another 4x4 extended cab long bed with that paintjob other than my own. As I told Greenleaf, just throw some 4 foot tall straight cut stacks in the bed and bounce it off a few trees and you could fool me that it was my own.

CumminsChick, I may in fact be one of those guys who needs a tow considering I don't have my truck tomorrow... I guess I wouldn't end up in a ditch. Just might not be able to get the car movin in 2 feet of snow. People don't land in ditches because they don't have 4 wheel drive, they land in ditches because they're idiots.

tippin you reminded me, ive been meaning to ask you to post some pictures of your rig. id love to see it. you should set up a photo gallery. thats funny you mention the stack. i actually have the set in my bedroom waiting to put them in. theyre 6inch mitre cuts tho. i plan to do them in mid march. theyve been abused by a number of my buddies, we refer to them as the "w. h. o. r. e" stacks... theyve been on half a dozen trucks. now that i have them im going to get them powder coated black to cover up all the damage, an i like the black look better anyhow. im also making a 4inch downpipe at the same time i do the stacks. that way ill have 4inch turbo back, streight, then into 5inch y-pipe, then to the 6inch stacks. i plan on getting the ASA intake before then also. i think it will sound pretty tuff. we'll have to see. but yea id love to see yours. ive only met one other guy that has a 1st gen CTD with our color sceme. he lives not too far from me. other than that ive only seen it on the real old ram50's

Yeah, I've been meaning to get some pictures of the beast, but now I'll have to wait until the transmission shop is done with it. Supposedly it'll be done today... provided the place is even open, so sometime this week or something maybe.

Right now my stacks are 4" straight cut, although with the soot on the back on top they look like miter cut until your up close. This summer I wanna put 5" straight cut stacks on... my truck just makes the 4" look small.

For about a month I had a 5" pipe coming out right in front of the rear tire. It sounded pretty cool. It made your skull vibrate at the right rpm, and the turbo echoed in it pretty good. Then I hit the accelerator one day and blew the joint apart where it was clamped on, it fell to the ground, I ran it over, and it blew my tire... .

well good luck gettin your truck back ontime. but yea when ever you get around to it, id love to check out your baby ;)...

one of my buddys has a 92 regular cab W250 auto that he painted camo. it looks real good. he did a great job. looks like a AdvantageTimber pattern almost. but he has 5" flat-tops. they sound good. i initially wanted 6" flattops with flappers on them. but i have to agree with what some guys have said, and i doubt the exhaust would lift the flaps hardly at all at idle.

i dont no if you notice my exhaust in the pictures. i cut the pipe right under the cab, put the 3inch into a 4inch all the way out, into a 5inch tip infront of the rear tire. i welded it all on tho so she aint goin no where. :) yes it does sound pretty nasty :):) i cant wait to get the intake on and let the turbo talk the way it should. it wistles ok now, but i could go for a lot more wiz if you no what i mean.

Between the injectors and cranking the pump up actually had more of an impact on the noise level of the truck than cutting the muffler off. Especially when you start getting a nice plume of smoke out the pipes, you'll get a lot of turbo flutter with the stock turbo in there. Isnt good for it, but it makes all the little street ricers think you really got something done, cuz Lord knows they have no idea whats actually happening.

As far as your intake goes, you could just do like I did and measure what size flange you need for an air filter and just buy one from AFE. I wanna say the filter that comes with most custom intakes is an 8-10 inch tall cone, I just found the right flange size and bought the biggest one AFE sold for that flange size, 14". As I recall its something like 14" tall by 9. 5" diameter or something like that. Obviously you have to pull the stock air box. I just kept the cover of my air box that has the hole through it and clamped the filter on like the stock one was, just without the rest of the air box. Sounds pretty cool, even when I had the stock turbo.

yea matt, i acctually took the air box off a while ago. gave me more wistle. i tied the filter down with bailing wire. i want the ASA modifieds intake cause ove seen a few guys with them and they seem realy good for our trucks. better milage, boost, egts, hp. so for just under $200 their a good deal. as soon as i do the stack (within a month or two) ill have to borow somebodys video camera and learn to put up a video, so you can hear and see it. ive held one of the stacks up to my exhaust, and the tone change is amazing. its real deep and throaty in the 6inchers. i love it. em em em, shes gonna sound just plain dirty :):)
