Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Snow water/ meth setup

Can you guys that are using this setup tell me how it works and where is the water injected at? Is it activated by boost or do you turn on a switch? Is this setup hard on the CTD? All info will be absorbed.

Well, from what I have heard about it, a good head gasket is required due to the increased cylinder pressure. I believe the water can be injected pretty much anywhere, but I have seen it injected pre-intercooler as well as post-intercooler. I suppose it could be activated by boost, but a switch is ideal for the application. I am sure someone experienced will chime in.

First of all I would suggest a search as there are a couple of very informative threads on the topic.



You can put it on an on and off switch or run it all the time. It reads a boost signal for activation via a hobbs switch or variable controller.



Typically it is injected in the hat for the intake manifold.

Just remember I've got a 97' 5 speed with 370's at 432 fuel and 496 with water... ... stock turbo and very livable EGT's..... I'll blow that charger up before I'm finished!

Looking at you profile you should be at much more than 250 hp? Either you've got two trucks or something aint right.



I've got a stock head gasket (for now) and run the Snow water/meth without a problem.



Don't let anyone convince you that you'll get water in you're oil. I towed my boat through some serious hills/passes and burned 3 gallons of straight water in about an hour. When I stopped for fuel shortly after the final gallon of water and pulled the dipper the oil was just as black as it always is.



I hate to say but as was mentioned above, do a search. There is loads of good info. here. Then if you have more ??s post em here and you will get answers.
