So Cal Rams- Please Read!

O. K. the paint guy says I don't have to be there until noon. It is in Banning so I have about two hours to whip some 3rd gen butt. Any way I could get in an early run Kev? Huh, pretty please, I'll give you my raffle ticket for Cary's truck?

I may have transmission issue's so I may not dyno. But I might without turning my box up to 5. I would like to see what I'm at on my normal day to day settings. I don't think my transmission will take the power much more. Should of got my ATS instead of fixing the dog. Later... ...

Ok I spoke to AFE Today, and we are going to have to cut this off. We are at more than 20, and they feel they can only run 25 trucks max. Nick and his crew have promised to try and get everyone on the Dyno who signed up thus far. But officially, the sign up is closed. :(

Sorry guys. They have however, agreed that we can do this again later in the year, so keep that in mind. ;) :D

Kev

For those of you who signed up, some information will be needed from you PRIOR the event day. I will be in contact with you.

kev, if there is room, put me on... I told you i was coming, but forgot to let you know I wanted the dyno test... hopefully there is room... Thanks,

Gary Maines

Ok guys,I don't know if you are aware of it yet but Kevins Daughter is in the Hospital, she had a perforated apendix. She has made it through the surgery and is recovering in stable condition. She will be in the hospital for another week or more. Kevin is spending a lot of time with her in the hospital so I am trying to help out.

If you are running on the dyno, please come prepared. . Drive tires aired to max recomended psi(per AFE request) verify all your vital fluids. There will be a short form to fill out. Name, Vehicle info, and that you have checked your vehicle out.

Thanks Bob- Kayleigh had a pretty rough nite last night, but for a 10 year old, she is braver than I could have been. I'm beat tired, but I'm still here to some extent.

Dave and I... ... err should I say DAVE... . has been a super friend through this whold thing, and installed the Preporator on my truck with only a handful of help from my father in law- his concern was to get my daughter well. Anyway, we are set to Dyno tomorrow (Wed) at 9:30am.

In addtion to what Bob mentioned about airing up and checking the vital signs, in order to get the Torque numbers, you will have to place a small piece of magnetic tape on the front portion of the block. We will likely have a couple of guys doing this for you, and will have contact cleaner on hand to get a good adhesion. This will result in the quickest on/off the rollers. We have a lot of trucks to do.

I will be getting the Brat's again for the BBQ, and all the fixin's. We should have someone bring a BBQ, and with the way the weather's been, an EZup or two would be nice as well. Doug and Lynn Wendlandt and I believe Avi's wife will be the cooks tending to our hospitatlity.

I will make every effort possible to be there, Kayleigh and her condition will be the judge of that. But, as Bob said, she made it through the surgery, and she is still very sick, but at least on the road to recovery. By Saturday she should be in pretty good shape.

My family and I Thank you all for the support and thoughts- Surprizingly, it meant alot to Kay to know you guys are pulling for her;) .

I'll check in when I can, in the meantime, if you have any specific question, post them here and Bob or Cary can get back to you.

Gary, I put you up on the list, I had another cancle...

Kev

Kev,

Glad your daughter is doing better. Add me to the dyno list if there is room. That is if i am around w/all the t-rex demo rides i will be providing:D

See ya all saturday

BOB4x4 , 4x4 I sent an e-mail a few days ago stating I would come to the event, I havn,t recieved a response and would still like to be there. there is a chance my e-mail got lost in space, this has been happening to me. as I stated in an earlier response I would like some assistance with guage installs if Irecieve the shipment in time. Is this a project that that could be addressed ? the truck is an 02, guages would be fuel pres, egt, boost, trans temp. What ele would I need to bring? The Daughter in the hospital probably preempted the response and understandably so ,I wish her a very quick recovery these supprise emergencies sure eat up time and put high stress on the family. I know i just went thru 3wks of it myself. Tks. Ken.

Ken- I got your email, not Bob, and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. My duaghter's illness also happened to occur about the same time we launched our new website, so me email traffic has been very intense, but enough excuses. You are more than welcome to come, we love tobuild our member base and add new members.

As for your gauges, this is going to be a pretty hectic event with the number of trucks running the rollers and with the other activities that will be going on. Gauges can be a time consuming task, especially to do a nice clean job. You might bring what you have and there will be plenty of advice from members on how and what to do, but I wouldn't plan on being able to get them in.

We have wrench days at least one a year, and will be having another before years end, probably not soon enough for what you want to do though;).

On another note, I'm still a bit concerned at how long it was taking to get the trucks on and off the Mustang (Dave and I ran again today, numbers to be posted soon) so organization will be crucial.

See everyone on Sat!

Kev

Yes, gages can be quite lenghty, 5 hours to remove a 2 pod and add a 3 pod last night. The EGT and Boost were already there.
