So Cal DMV fees

Has anyone registered their truck in Southern Calif. as a regular non-commercial truck??? I did it on my last truck,14 years ago...

Yep you can do it as long as you have a permanently mounted camper or the like. DON'T get caught with it off and anything in the bed!My friend did that and had 2 boxes in the bed and got a ticket for no commercial plates cost him a lot of money!

I knew I left that state for good reason(s). How darn ludicrous! Time to revamp the DMV policys if you ask me. Those folks need to be reminded who the he11 they work for!
