So Cal Rattlin Rams December BBQ

Sacramento West Bombvoy/convoy

Hmmmm A Cheby?? Might be nice to have something to sit on while we play with the real trucks:p ... ... ...

OK- THIS IS A DEFINITE GO- RAIN or SHINE or DOWNPOUR!

For those of you wimps;) who are worried about a little water... ... . I called my local Dodge dealer AND checked with Cummins- and they both said it should be OK to drive your truck carefully in the rain.

I have an enclosed garage warehouse area should the water get more than 3" deep:p .

And besides, rain helps keep the meat moist on the BBQ.

That is, if anyone will let me near the BBQ this time:rolleyes: .

Fred- no need for compressor, we have two 15Hp stationary units. We also havr 2400amp service, so I doubt the generator will be necessary. The welder?? Maybe... ..... It depends on weather or not John will let us modify that cheby of his... ... . :-laf

See you all tomorrow!:D

Wow, I feel like a knuklehead, as some of you know that I have been without speedo since turkey day. So we start to trace out wiring and taking voltage measurments, also had 2 scan tools hooked up, replace rear wheel sensor and swapped out speed pickup sensor from Bruce's truck(thanks Bruce) and still no go. Well Bob comes over and starts to check out if I wired the DTT box up right, pulls one of the connectors and the wire breaks off from the back of the crimp connector. So I said I wonder if that was my problem, turns out that was it. So moral of the story is check all the basics before assuming that it's the electronics. A big thanks goes out to Ramon,Bob,Bruce,Pablo and Kevin and the gang for putting on a great wrench day. Very much worth the drive and the 3 hours drive to get back home(darn 91 frwy)

I also want to say great job. I didn't meet everyone, kinda hung back a little but I was impressed with the people I did meet and with some of the mods on the trucks. My Chev did make it through the day with no modifications ;) and I came up with some good ideas for my Dodge. I'm just wondering, there was an Atlantic Blue, I think lifted, brand new truck, had numbers in grease pencil on the windows, what have you done with your truck?? When you left I was impressed, was hoping you were coming back but I never saw you again. Anyway thanks again!! John

Rory  ... ... ... ... ... ... ... at least you guys got it figured out.

Thanks to everyone for coming out!

I am starting a new thread with thank yous and photos.

wrench Day

kev, thanks for a great day! Had a little rain, but didn't dampen anyones sprit. The Lunch was great! Tell your wife thanks for her effort! It is good to have the wife supporting the TDR addiction. I know my wife will always come with me, even if she doesn't care about half of what goes on. She is just interested in one thing; will the Diesel start when she turns the key. . lol

I didn't add anything new to my truck but, just talking to the guys always helps when you are thinking about mods!

Thanks again for a great day! Looking forward to Dyno Day!

Great day Kev, thanks to the boss for letting us use his parking lot. And I appreciated all the support from the guys watching me drill holes in the bed of a week old truck!! And the guys that helped out with labor and or tools really helped out, I couldn't have done it without you guys... ... ... . Thanks a million, Sarge

Sarge, watching was the easy part! I am glad that you were drilling in your truck and not mine. Especially when we saw you drill that first pilot hole... lol

Did you get her all done? I think you should name her the "Red Lady"! See you at Dyno Day
