Is there a Central Cal Diesel Club?

So Cal Rattlin' Rams - Update to Wrench Day Feb 22

So Cal Rattlin' Rams!!

Ok guys (and gals) !

We got the next one on the books.

Saturday, February 22 9:00AM

at 3071 E Ceena Court, Anaheim

Map

As was recently brought to my attention, this is a WRENCH DAY , not a BOMB day. We need to be a little more sensitive to the times, and BOMB PARTY is not something people want to hear about, especially those not familiar with the meaning!

It will be at my place of business, we should have enough room. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE BUSINESS!! They won't have a clue what you're talking about. Please direct questions to myself via PM or email.

We will be having a hoods up Q&A. We will also be tackling whatever else wants or needs to be done. (As long as we're able).

IMPORTANT NOTES: Due to our inability to responsibly and safely perform service, we are unable to allow fluid service change (IE Radiator Flush, Transmission Service, Differential work, etc) Sorry, but the business owners will not allow it. We are under a watchful eye of the local fire authority for our use of photochemistry and don't want to send up any flags.

ALL PARTICIPANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any work performed on your truck is done so at your own risk. South Coast Photographic and its Owners and management as well as the volunteers performing the work assume NO liability or responsibility for any damages or personal injury of any kind, consequential or otherwise to you or your truck. Your participation this Saturday is you acceptance of this disclaimer. You know how it goes.

I was thinking along the lines of Pizzia and beer??

Let me know! And lets go!

Kev!!

We will also be announcing a DYNO Day in March- this way we can see how much HP we added!!

Kev,

I'm up for a 30,000 mile on the DTT trans. Just a fluid, filter, and possible adjustment. Nothing to interesting. But if ya want to do it there, well, I'm in. If not I'll do it this week.

I'm in. I want to install the lukes link. I tried over over two hours to get off the p. o. s. track bar. Finally gave up. Do you think we can do this. Once the track bar is off all we need is a grinder and basic hand tools.

What do you think.

See you there

I will look into both of these and get back to you. It would be nice to have a jig available. There is one available in a San Diego area shop, as far as I know that is all that is out here- maybe someone else knows of one?

I tabbed my KDP and set the timing.

It did not take very long.

But I did run into some problems with a broken Lock washer on the pump gear . I had to do a Home depot run and get a 3/4 in. washer and modify to fit.

Other than that I just put the cover back on and went for it.

I might attend the Feb22 event.

I do have my sport lights to install.

Maybe I can get the harness' before then?

The March dyno sounds great only 55 bucks to see what I've got. Oo.

Are dyno runs done in drive 3rd gear locked up TC?.

Anyone else?????????????

This was a High priority on many of your "want to do lists". Even if you just want to watch it should be VERY educational. Ask any questions you want and get a professional answer.

I will be getting in touch with those who are volunteering to help, to iron our needs and tool requirements. We'll have to see about the fluid flushes (ie. radiators, transmission). I want to make sure we are equipped to responsibly handle these tasks.

Even those just coming to hang out and lend your . 02, let me know.

Dkevdog,

My wife is out of town, so I will be there.

Does anyone have a decible meter? I would like to get some baseline readings as I will be starting a sound reduction project soon.

Otherwise I have two hands willing to help out.

Greg and others-

:( Sorry but we're gonna have to stay away from fluid changes as we are not equipped to handle it, and at the owners (AKA MY BOSS) request to keep things clean.

Everything else looks pretty doable:D !

Curt- The only grinder I have is a 4"- but it might be what we need.
