High Desert Diesel Roundup-Sled Pull and Drags return for 05'

I just wanted to say thanks to all the TDR members for not coming out and helping me take out the D max's. So I just had to do it all by myself. Its OK, my shoulders are getting pretty big from carring all the TDR members in So. Cal. . I really wanted to give a big thanks to Craig at BIG POWER DIESEL, for helping me go from high 15's to mid. 12's. THANKS

Now wait just a minute there Mr. Tim. I seem to remember one crazy lady out there pedaling as fast as she could with her little old stock injectors, 15. 59 isn't too bad. hhhuuummmmm???? Remember me??? I may not be a fast as you but I sure as h#%$ showed. Oo. Okay so your right. Absolutely not enough Dodges out there... Maybe when the weather warms up a little ;) , if you know what I mean. :D :D Betty P. S. If you don't show, you don't get to brag. :D

Thats pretty harsh Tim, don't ya think?

I was there but without "Big Red" for it seems as though the dreaded 48RE failure hit me!If it would have been runnin They would not have stood a chance! My first sights would have been that Black 4X4 DRW! :D Nice job too bad first round was so brutal!

Good to see the few that made it out with Dodges, but we sure need more of you. Its a lot of fun to hang out and BS if nothing else, so come on out and support the racing. The Dmax's had us beat in numbers and in the brackets, but Tim the "Tommygun" had em' covered in ET with that 12. 6 @108 Oo. Its about time the Dmax's take notice, they've been ridin' high a bit too long. Good to see Betty, Tom and Chris out there, strength is in numbers and every truck helps, no matter how fast. Hey Tim, time to update the sig. , the cat is out of the bag, nobody will believe the 14. 6 anymore, but then they probably won't believe the 12. 6 either

Craig

Any diesel daggin' this weekend(3/5/05), Craig? I bet I could give some of the manual transmission trucks a run for their money. I don't stand a chance against any autos but I would like to try my hand with some fellow manual trucks. Let me know when the next meet is out there and I'll see if I can make it out.

Joe

Hey Joe, nothing this weekend. The next DHRA round isn't until April 3rd, we might get out again before then but not sure. Don't miss it, we had a really good time. There were at least 2 manual Dodges there so you would have some competition. Talk to you soon.

Cool deal Craig, I'll definately try and make the April 3rd meet and see what the truck can do.

Joe,

I'll run ya next time out. :-laf

I'll take that challenge, Tom, but you may have to give me some kind of advantage like a head start or something, cuz my 37" tires really take the sped out of the truck. :-laf But once I am out of hole I think I can run pretty good :D

We'll see on the 3rd. Oo.

Craig, one other thing, I read the LACR rules somewhat but since i don't know what my truck will run, ae helmets required or should I just bring the truck and myself like at the Willow pulls last year? Also, are thy going to let me run with my daily driver 37" SSR tires? I remember at a drag strip out of state I could not run my 'ol '71 Chevy that had 38" tires due to the risk of the blowing out according to the rules. Just want to be prepared for the event and not have to be a spectator only due to rules incompliance. :D

I will have my new turbo by then, can't wait. If we can just run consistent this time (which is hard to do with a manual) maybe one of us can school the D-maxes? I would love to see any dodge do it, but a 16 second manual truck would be a class act! :-laf

I think I can achieve a 16 sec. run, but it depends on how good I get out of the hole. Do you start in granny gear or second? I can never get a good run if I start in second, but I can make up for that once my boost kicks in. You'll probably spank me with your new turbo, but after my birthday in July, I should have my B1 and 370s, so I should be much quicker then. :D But for now I will see what the truck can do with my current set-up, seems pretty fast gettin' on the highway, so I bet I could be at least under 18 seconds for a wild guess-timate. :-laf

Definately second gear, do you have 3. 54's or 4. 10's? You should easily get into the 17's with your setup, just try to launch it nice and easy, the first 60' is slicker than snot on a door-knob!!! :-laf :-laf
