High Desert Diesel Roundup-Sled Pull and Drags return for 05'

Definately second gear, do you have 3. 54's or 4. 10's? You should easily get into the 17's with your setup, just try to launch it nice and easy, the first 60' is slicker than snot on a door-knob!!! :eek: :-laf :-laf

I have the 3. 54s. I would have absolutely no top end speed if I had the 4. 10s. Holeshot would be good, but I would run a 19 @ 80mph or something. :-laf :eek:

I guess I'll have to do a hell of a burn out to get the tires to hook up on that 60' section. :D

4 wheel drive fellas - it works wonders. You can forget 2wd unless you have some tire and or back halved.

Yeah, Craig, you got to be kidding me! I would run and even slower ET in 4x4, not to mention my launch would be very horrible. Probably a full second RT. :{

Besides I got 4 37" tires in the back which equals out to about almost 2. 5' of surface area for each side. :-laf I think I will do just fine in 2wd... ... . man, this sucks waiting for a whole month before I can find out what the 'ol truck will run.

Maybe with your truck Joe you wouldn't use 4wd because of the big meats. But just as an example, every truck out there last weekend that had 4wd was using it(well, except Tom and Brian I guess). But the reality is that you can't leave with any heat in 2wd. I bet the drivetrain loss may be less than you think. The one side of the front axle spins anyway with the the vacuum disconnect system. If I try to launch in 2wd with my truck, its up in smoke for who knows how long. But hey, doesn't really matter as long as your having fun. See you guys next time.

Craig

Actually what you will gain in traction will overcome any drivetrain differences. You will not have as much MPH as a 2wd, but that doesn't matter anyway.
