Where to buy?

Yeah, it was a difficult choice not to buy a 1st gen, but the ones I found were not in my budget.

So I bought a 1993 Audi S4. 1 of 200 made that year for the states. It is loaded, black leather, carbon fiber trim, power everything, heated seats, metallic green exterior, 5-speed, 2. 2L turbo Inline 5, chipped from stock 227 to 270 horse. It hauls butt!

Anyway, it's not a truck, but I am happy with it. Maybe I can get Mack to sell her 01 A4 and buy a truck :)

Congrats, Nick!

That car represents the absolute best generation of the Audi 5-bangers. The older S4's are very sweet rigs...

Just be patient when it starts to get quirky and always keep a quart of Pentosin around. :)

Be sure to share some pics of it...

Congrats Nick am sure you will enjoy it. We used to have an older well it was new when we bought it 5000 wagon(or was it a 4000) . That thing rocked. I am not a real foreign car person but that car won me over after I got used to driving it. It was one solid piece. The paint looked brand new when we sold it with 300k on it, the interior was still great. We never had any thing major go wrong with it but a few little things . We replaced the speedo 4 times, window motors every one of them at least once, the sunroof might close and it might not so we quit using it. The last straw was the hvac. It would suddenly kick on the ac and blast freezing cold air when the heat was on and in the summer with the ac on it would suddenly switch to heat. You could not switch it back just had to turn it off for a while. Our mechanic was really bummed when we sold it. Everytime we took it in he said it would run another 200k we just needed to live with the quirks and am sure it would as there was nothing wrong with the engine, trans or clutch and it didnt burn one drop of oil.

By the way he was a great audi mechanic and always treated us right and is right over on Dransfeldt not very far from where you work. Apparently the window motors and the speedo were a common failure on our model car at least as he put it and he always had some in stock on the shelf. His name was Louis and he was the owner. Just south of Lincoln a mile or so on the left (east) side of Dransfeldt. Cant remember the name of his shop though its been a while.
