Tire problems

Where to go in S. California

... the two wires for trailer brakes, one obviously hooks to the brake controller through the truck and the other is connected to ground, and are interchangeable, correct?

Four brakes aren't cheap so I figured I'd just ask.

Thanx

On a side note, whats a good way to clean out wheel bearings without a parts cleaner?

Those wires go to an electromagnet that is part of the brake assembly. They are not polarized and can be hooked up interchangeably.

I always used a coffee can with some gasoline in it to clean wheel bearings, but don't tell anyone as doing that isn't politically correct any more.

I used to use gas but have switched to generic paint thinner ( mineral spirits ) about a buck a gallon at Lowes. It dries oil and odor free and is a great degreaser and cleaner for cleaning stuff before spray painting.
