wow--leave a thought out there for a few days and....

Hi, everybody----I just got back to the ol' Greezy Deezil cybersaloon here, and lo-n-behold there's 3 pages of responses/discussion to a fleeting thought that I tossed out here during a viewing of the John Cusack movie "Better Off Dead"...

That claymation hamburger with the red "flying Vee" reminded me of what a HUGE guitarist (and BTW classical pianist, etc. ) EVH is.

that's where the "so much talent" portion of the title came from.

The firing DLR and then SH, and then GS (did we ever even hear any of that work?) that's where the "whatta jerk" comment came from... .

as for other life details, just as they'd be none of his business if they happened to me, neither is it my business when they happen to him. Actually, i do hope the cancer turns out OK/defeated, but i don't see it happening. According to the radio (and that's ALLWAYS accurate  ) he still smokes like a steam engine. VB still needs her husband and the 2 (aren't there 2?) kids need their Dad, and with that going on, he's gonna die early and then they won't have him. Come to think of it, that's kinda jerky, too, when it's due to something within his personal control... :( maybe i just feel kinda like we're all gonna be robbed of the benefit of his talent, when he kicks off. "natural causes" is one thing, slow-motion suicide is another.

mea culpa...

ok rich, you deserve an apology. i said that you probably posted

because you didn't like eddie and were just trying to stir things up. after reading your latest, i would hafta agree, although i havh't seen "better off dead". they say it takes a big man to admit he's made a mistake. i'm 6 ft. and 270 so i'm sorry. :( :(

You gotta see the movie! bulletproof comedy throughout, though some was quite subtle... had a little of each of these types of comedy//// sight gags, "imagination" fadeaways, and the running gag with the paperboy "I want my two dollars!"

As for the apology, if i'd been more prompt about rejoining the "discussion", I'd have not left that impression, so, I probably owe the whole "crowd" one as well..... How bout this, go over to the other thread, marked "favorite dead animal on the grill", find my post, and havabigplata everything my cousins cooked, and crack open a Royal, or a San Miguel to wash it all down, then we'll call it even :) ---If he should happen to be reading this (superunlikely, i bet) EVH is invited, too.

As Usual....

Rich, as usual, well said. I agree with your sentiments regarding how EVH conducts his life.

It may sound or look like kicking a dog when its down, but the fact is, EVH has not stopped some of the behaviors that may have contributed to his health problems.

just noticed!

Max340-- How long's that '89 LeBaron been on the profile?

I had an '85 Dodge Lancer 2. 2(4-door) and later an '89 Spirit 2. 5...

Both turbo'd/injected, black, and viciously fast...

Loved'em both, but at certain rpm ranges, the Lancer's blower sounded too much like a cop siren

I will not.

I will not post anything more about his music. I have found a couple of cuts I may like. Don't tell any of my freinds though.....

Some people just are never able to grow up. His vices I suppose are his buisness, however selfish they may seem. I do pity him though, some are incapable of quiting this behavior. Maybe he just doesen't want to live anymore?

Ever since I had a profile! :)

Also have an 88 Shelby Daytona that threw a rod bearing (let my brother explain that to ya, he did it in..... ) that will be sacrificing some of the goodies I did to it to make the LeBaron a bit faster. Among other things, the Daytona seemed to not have turbo lag after I got done. Too bad I didn't get to drive it more.
