SO to HO

I was wondering if you can make an SO (235hp model) into an HO (305hp model)? Can you buy the part to actually make an SO model into an HO? I do not mean by bombing the truck, but using stock HO parts on an SO to make it an HO? Am I just way out in space or can this be done?

Do a search I know the HO has oil jets that cool pistons (I think they are different pistons) THere was quite a bit written up about this about a year ago.

While there are some physical differences (like the J-Jets mentioned above), the biggest difference is programming. I think convincing DC to upload the HO program into a SO truck would be futile.

Is there a way to buy an HO electronic computer box to put into the SO. Either to buy a new one or used?

Maybe. But doing so would blow your warranty away for sure. I assume you are asking these questions because of the warranty. Putting an Edge EZ will get you past a stock HO and most dealerships won't care. A HO computer in a SO truck would set of alarms at any dealer.

Do not think so as there was a TSB issued a while back stating all ECM's come with no programming already in them any longer.

Why not just add a nice little box? Youll be up there with us H. O. s then. Ive heard of some awesome SO's around here.
