Thanks, TDR Staff

I'm moving to Colombia!

Sign Of The Times.

Well, as some of you know already, my truck has been down for two weeks due to a lift pump. It took me this long because 1) I could never find time to go to Cummins using my g/f's car 2) I got a second job, making point #1 even worse, and 2) I can ride my bike to my daytime job, so why hurry?

But, 2nd job started, and g/f and I were both tired of sharing her Audi and SHE WANTED HER CAR BACK!

I decided to take my first free evening, this coming Monday, to go get my pump from Cummins. Well, as Mack dropped me off at BMW for work this morning, she said, "How about you give me some money and I will go to Cummins and get your pump?"

I said, "Cool, sounds good!" I called my credit card in to Cummins and told them she would be by to pick it up before they closed at noon.

So, she went and got my pump for me! How sweet of her!

... ... ... ... ... ... ..... Wait, that's the whole story? Are you kidding me? NOOOO!

Not only did she pick up my pump, SHE INSTALLED IT! Yeah, no BS! She messaged me asking me if I knew where my Haynes guide was. I didn't know, but asked her why she wanted it. She said she wanted to look at where the pump mounted. I thought nothing of it because she had never been interested in helping with my truck.

So, she comes to pick me up at 5:15 tonight and says, "So, your LP is installed, I just need to tighten the 3 mounting nuts and one banjo bolt. I about crapped my pants. All I did when I came home was tighten everything and showed her how to change the fuel filter.

So! Good news and bad news. Bad news is I still have the stock LP for now, but plan to modify it or install FASS/RASP as soon as money permits. Good, GREAT, news, is that my bad LP did not take the VP with it. PHEWWWW!!

We took it out for a spin afterwards. Sounds healthier, smoother, and I sure did miss it!

Mackenzie is the BOMB!

That's pretty impressive!! Today, I drove to Santee, CA from Corona,CA-about 90 miles. Was going to SoCal Rattlin Rams wrench day to do my EGR rear disc conversion. I got down there and layed everything out and realized I had forgotten the bearing packer I just had overnight shipped from Geno's. So I called her to see if it was where I left it and it was. I said don't worry about it we'll manage without it. Went about our business and about an hour 1/2 later she pulled up in the car with the bearing packer. It was such a nice gesture that I didn't have the heart to tell her that the bearings were already in. I forgot to mention that she is very sick but packed up our 3 year old and traveled 180 miles round trip to bring me something I forgot and ended up not using. Anne is also the bomb. Oh ya, the brakes work great!!

Sounds like she a keeper.

Sometime oportunities only present themselve once. So, :) Oo. You better hang on tight and hold on for dear life.

:D :D :D

Hemi, Mack says you can have her phone # on two conditions, 1) you are "hot" (her words) and 2) if you have money!

She also rebuilt a '57 Chevy Bel Aire with her stepfather and said, "putting the pump in was a piece of cake. "

Yes, she has a sister, but she is happily married and not into mechanical stuff!

I gotta say my girlfriend is one of a kind and I love her to death. First of all, she "puts up with" my redneck *****, which can be a challenge in itself. She loves my country and bluegrass music and listens to a lot of it herself. She is crazy about "our" trucks and really likes to ride in my old beater to watch it smoke and hear the "big rig" sound from the stacks. She even talks about getting a diesel vehicle when "we" have to replace her Honda wagon mommie mobile. She not only likes my Confederate clothing, but BUYS them for me as well as for her self. She also likes the Dixie horns I have on both trucks and especially likes it when I sound them in the "darker" areas of town. This may not seem too unusual for the common Southern country girl, but my good ole country girl with Southern pride is also a BLACK girl who is thrilled to have her "sweet lil redneck". I must say I would never imagined this happening, but after a little over four months of dating, I gotta say I am totally satisfied with my sweet lil "brown sugar" myself!

Dieselnut if she did a little searching she would probably find a relative or 2 that fought for the confederacy. The Southron black soldiers were actually paid the same as the white soldiers and the Cherokee soldiers unlike the yankees who paid the union black soldiers much less. Buy her the book " The Real Lincoln " by Thomas Dilerenzo. It gives very good detailed information on what the War for Southron Independence was really about. And dispells a lot of the Revisionist history myths about not only the war but Lincoln as well. My Wife and I both are very much into Southron heritage and history. Even our place is called the Dixie Mule Ranch. And the 3rd National flag is flown daily. And anyone that likes Bluegrass is alright in my book.

No need in explaining that to her. She is a school teacher in a government school and overheard a "history" teacher "teaching" "politically correct" "history" to the 5th grade students. This "teacher" was "teaching" what is published in the New York City published history book. My girlfriend overheard the part about "the war was racist and all about slavery". The "history teacher" is white, and as mentioned before my lady is black. She quickly stepped in and said first that it was not about slavery, but states rights, then went on to explain that if the black people's OWN FAMILIES and OWN COUNTRY had not made them AVAILABLE FOR SALE, there would be no slavery market. They were brought here because they were available to be had. She also explained to this class that the blacks of this country are now MUCH BETTER OFF than they would be if they were left to be in Africa, much of which is still infested with disease and famine. Many of their ancestors died through the battle of slavery and the civil war, but so did many of mine in the fight to get this country where it is today. Sorry to get this off topic. I am just very proud of my lil country girl, especially when she has the guts to go against the "politically correct" and the "teachings" that a lot of her race (and others) believe.

This ROTS!!!! ((((KIDDING!!!!))))

I wish my lady liked vehicles enough to where she cared anything about them, other than they better get her to work and the store. Oh well, we can't have everything we want (I really can't complain. She doesn't get to upset with my 42 different hobbies), but sounds like you got most of it. Congrats on the little lady. I would have paid good money to have seen that. Would have made a great "Best of TDR Moments" video. "This is what happens with the misses is done playing taxi. "

Yeah, unfortunately for her she will be playing taxi a little longer. I checked my codes today and the old POS lift pump she replaced took out my VP before it left the truck. Two P0216 codes, the one everyone dreads. It still runs, but I don't want to risk it dying on the roadside then having to get a new VP AND towing bill. Now I just need the money to fix it. Hey, maybe she will help me replace the VP when I get around to it?

We are going to the local bluegrass show Thursday night! Both of us like bluegrass and country music, as well as country dancing and a little of the "nasty" stuff too! We went to Helen, Ga. (local "tourist trap" in the N. Ga. mountains an hour north of where I live) and there is always lots of live music there. We have been twice and had a great time. It is so nice to have a soulmate who you both appreciate each other the way you are and share a lot of common interests. She does have some learning to do though. Needs to learn to check her own oil and to learn to drive a straight shift if she ever wants to borrow my trucks! I have the St. Andrew's Cross "battle flag" and TRUE Georgia flag flying at my to be farm also...

NPloysa - Sorry to hear it man. I imagine now that she has cut her teeth on the pump, she might be ready to tackle the VP.

mjendrejcak - Mine checks it when she needs it. A little pull of the lever and :{ YEP it's empty. "Honey, I need more winder fluid stuff. " As for your trade in, don't know what the Kelly Blue Book or NADA might say the going trade-in value is. Might be better off keeping her until the warranty runs out. Would probably take a beating at the finance office(courthouse). ;)

I gotta find me one of those! I'm having trouble finding a model that is appealing to the eyes... and has some remote ammount of intelligence! So far it's one or the other... .

" The Original Georgia Flag" You sound like you might have something against a certain Gov. and his cronies. :-laf
